Vasant Panchami is celebrated as Saraswathi Puja. Its celebration the onset of spring, its celebrating the goddess of knowledge Saraswathi. ICFI was abuzz with excitement. The teachers and students all came dressed in different shades of yellow, orange and white. These are the colours symbolic of goddess Sarawathi. A small idol was placed on the alter and a Alpona(Rangoli) was drawn by the teachers with the students. The students made a toran with mango leaves and marigold flowers to decorated the doorway. Sweets were distributed after giving anjali (Prayer).
