Dr. Prerna Shah

Neuropsychologist

She is one of the leading Neuropsychologist in Long Island, NY. She did her Doctorate in Psychology from the City University of NY. She trained as a Neuropsychologist from Downstate Medical Center in NY and joined Northshore University Hospital and soon rose to become the Associate Director of Neuropsychology Program in the Department of Neurology. Dr Shah also served as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at New York University. She was involved in teaching and training Fellows in Neuropsychology.

Sudha Kaul

Founder, Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy (IICP)

Dr. Sudha Kaul is Founder, Trustee and Vice Chairperson of the Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy (IICP), Kolkata. In April 2010, Dr Kaul received the Padmashree award from the President of India.
In 1974, there were no schools for children with cerebral palsy and special needs in Eastern India. Dr. Sudha Kaul set up the first school, then known as the West Bengal Spastics Society (WBSS), in Kolkata, in April 1974. She had the staunch support of her husband, Om, since both had an intrinsic belief in all children’s ability to learn, including their own son Arjun who was diagnosed as a child with “CP with multiple disabilities.” In 2004, IICP (as it was now called), won the National Award from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, for the Best Disability NGO.
